XR THE FUTURISTIC TECHNOLOGY

 XR IMMERSIVE

XR stands for Extended reality refers to the combo of all real-and-virtual environments and the interactions of human-machine generated by a computer, technology and, wearable. In this, the 'X' represents a mutable for any current or future longitudinal computing technologies. E.g. It includes archetypal forms such as AR, MR, and VR, and the areas interpolated among them. The level of virtual range from ascetically sensory inputs to immersive virtually, known as VR.

XR is considered as superset which includes the whole spectrum from "the complete real" to "the complete virtual" in the concept of reality- virtually continuum. Still, the subtext of XR lies in the extension of human experiences particularly relating to the senses of existence and the procurement of cognizance. This connotation is evolving as the constant development of interaction can be seen between humans and computers. XR is mounting rapidly in all fields in a wide range and we also know it very well as we can see XR everywhere in our day to day life such as marketing, real-estate, work from home, and training, etc.

AUGMENTED REALITY

Augmented Reality is the superposition of messages like text, sound, or visual available in a virtual form on the real world that we experience around us. Do not mistake AR with Virtual Reality as VR provides the user with a computer-generated atmosphere for an easy and better interaction whereas AR incorporates the virtual world as a part of the real world. Operating AR for the first time can be stupefying, it feels like we are in the matrix movie.

AR in trend:

AR made its debut in the real world with the game POKEMON GO and gamers were astounded to witness such type of a game. This attracted the attention of bigger companies for their development. Later on, countries started to adopt AR for training their army by testing the efficiency of recruits by providing them tactical situations. Gradually AR and VR made their way toward every possible field such as in sports by lending a helping hand to the players in training anywhere they go. PlayStation gaming with the help of AR and VR has brought the outdoor world indoors. In the field of education, VR has become a boon for the students as they can practically witness the theoretical framework of their syllabus. AR has taken the movie industry on a whole next level. The hassle of attending a concert with an expensive ticket has been deducted as the audience can access the feel sitting with the VR while sitting at home. E-commerce has also become more reliable than ever as the picture of the product is not limited to the 2D anymore. We are just a few years from the time when the real world and the virtual world can’t be differentiated any longer.

In past during the 1990s fighter aircraft would show information about the attitude, direction, and speed of the plane, and later a few years only they could show which objects in the field of view were the targets.

In the previous decade, numerous labs and companies have built up devices that give us augmented reality. In the year 2009, the MIT interfaces group presented a device named sixth sense, it was a device that combined the use of a camera, small projector, smartphone, and mirror. The device seemed like the ironman’s core like hangs from the user’s chest in a halyard fashion from the neck. Four sensor devices on the user’s fingers can be used to manipulate the images projected by the sixth sense.

Google came up with their invention of Google glasses in 2013, in such a way for moving augmented reality to a more wearable interface. This wearable displays on the user’s lens screen via a small projector and response to the voice commands, overlaying images, videos, and sounds onto the screen. Google withdrew its wearable interface google glass at the end of December 2015. Also this invention did not catch the eye of masses but AR became a thing in 2016 with the launch of the famous mobile game Pokémon Go in 2016.

COVID-19 has changed the future of AR/VR

While there is a global lockdown and countries are suffering economic crises at different levels, at the same time, AR has become a trend. People are trying to access the fun of the outside world while lying on their beds. Also, many live meetings are becoming more interesting as professionals can see their colleagues around them somewhere close to real!

COVID-19 has shown the potential of AR and VR in our daily lives from shopping to entertainment the adaptation of this platform can be utilized in multiple fields I.e. from shopping to entertainment and business to the education world.

As we can see that the future is going to be in AR and VR only so nothing can be better than MAGES institute as it provides us a platform to learn the programming languages for AR and VR. The best place for learning of Full-Stack Development, Data-Science, and XR Immersive is non-other than MAGES.
